Un dernier petit tour en Auvergne avant... - A last trip to the Auvergne before...

Nous avons profite de la semaine de vacances de Fevrier d'Oscar pour aller faire un petit tour en Auvergne, en passant par Villebon sur Yvette. Oscar etait aux anges d'aller dans la nouvelle maison de Raphael, Irene et Mattheo, ou nous avons aussi fete les 5 ans d'Oscar et surtout les 60 ans de Mamie.

We took the opportunity of the half-term holiday week in February to spend a week in the Auvergne, we stopped in Villebon sur Yvette on the way (close to Paris, where my brother David lives). Oscar was delighted to stay at his cousins' new house and we could celebrate all together the 5th birthday of Oscar and also the 60th birthday of Mamie.

Puis nous sommes alles passer quelques jours a Clermont-Ferrand pour voir la famille et les amis, et enfin un weekend a Paris pour voir nos amis parisiens... une semaine bien chargee!

Then we spent a few days in Clermont-Ferrand to see family and friends, and a weekend in Paris to visit our Parisian friends... a very busy week! 

 

Et la raison pour laquelle nous ne serons pas de retour tout de suite est qu'Oscar va avoir un petit frere ou une petite soeur au mois d'aout (bon d'accord, vous le savez tous deja maintenant...)!

And the reason why we will not be back in France for a while is that Oscar is going to have a little brother or sister in August (well ok, you all already know about it by now...)!

 

5 ans deja - 5 years old already

On a fete les 5 ans d'Oscar - deja! - avec une fete Lego... il adore tellement ca! Il a aussi participe aux preparatifs!

We celebrated Oscar's 5th birthday - already! - with a Lego party... he loves his Lego so much! He helped to prepare the party as well!

On avait loue un chateau gonflable dans la salle municipale en face de chez nous, et aussi prevu un atelier creatif...

We rented a bouncy castle in the village hall opposite our house, and prepared a craft table as well...

 

 

 

  

 Le gateau fait maison etait bien entendu decore en Lego...

The homemade birthday cake was obviously decorated with Lego...

 

 

  

...tout comme le reste de la table et de la salle...

 ...like everything else on the table and in the room...

  

 

Certains cadeaux aussi ont ete raccord avec le theme, au plus grand plaisir d'Oscar qui a ete enseveli sous les cadeaux!

Some presents as well were from the same theme, for Oscar's delight, who was overloaded with presents!

Mais le jour de son anniversaire (la fete etait le dimanche avant), il a quand meme compte pour verifier s'il n'en manquait pas!
But on his actual birthday (the party was the Sunday before), he still counted just to check if none were missing!

Et comme cerise sur le gateau, Grandma et Grandad etait venus passer quelques jours chez nous au moment de l'anniversaire d'Oscar et nous en avons profite pour aller se promener a Wisley garden.
Like a cherry on the cake, Grandma and Grandad came to visit for a few days around Oscar's birthday and we took this opportunity to go for a visit at Wisley Garden.
