Magali nous a fait le plaisir de venir nous rendre visite a Den Bosch pour le weekend: Oscar l'a trouve tres sympa. Elle a meme realise des oeuvres d'art, avec la contribution d'Oscar!
Magali came to visit us in Den Bosch for the weekend: Oscar really liked her. She even created some works of art, with a little bit of help from Oscar!

Vacances anglaises - British holidays

Apres avoir passe quelques jours en Auvergne en Juillet, nous avons passe une semaine de l'autre cote de la Mer du Nord, que nous avons d'ailleurs traverse en ferry (encore une 1ere pour Oscar!). Oscar a pu enfin rencontre sa Auntie Claire (specialement venue de Glasgow), ses 2 arriere grand-meres, d'autres membres de la famille (Thelma, Gail & Barrie, Rachel & Paul) et de nombreux amis de la famille. Il a aussi experimente quelques nouvelles choses, comme la chaise haute (meme s'il ne tient pas encore bien assis), les fous rires, les bisous et... l'urticaire geant (a priori cause par le seul petit pot achete qu'il a mange! - j'ai du boulot en perspective!).
After a few days in the Auvergne in July, we went for a week on the other side of the North Sea, which we crossed with a ferry boat (1st time for Oscar!). Oscar could at last meet his Auntie Claire (who came especially from Glasgow), his 2 great grandmas, other members of the family (Thelma, Gail & Barrie, Rachel & Paul) and many friends. He also experienced a few new things, like the high chair (even if he can't sit up properly yet), having a laugh, blowing kisses and... a giant skin rash (probably caused by the only non homemade jar of food he ever had! - I will have to cook a lot!).

Comme Mark etait au Japon le jour des 6 mois d'Oscar, j'ai decide de faire un petit "reportage" pour immortaliser ce jour important pour notre petit bout. Voici donc en images une journee typique pour Oscar lorsque nous allons au travail...
As Mark was in Japan on the day of Oscar's 6 months birthday, I decided to do a little Photo Diary to capture what he was up to on that day. So here are a few photos of a typical day in the life of Oscar while we go to work...

6h30 - et parfois bien avant! (6.30AM - and sometimes a lot earlier!)













7h10 - on s'habille pour aller a la creche (7.10AM - we get dressed before going to the creche)





8h00 - Joyce est la pour accueuillir Oscar (8.00AM - Joyce is here to welcome Oscar)





18h30 - de retour a la maison apres le travail (6.30PM - back home after work)

19h30 - un bon bain, un biberon et au lit! (7.30PM - a nice bath, a bottle and straight to bed!)

Les nounous ("juffrouw" en Hollandais) de la creche ont gentiment propose de prendre des photos d'Oscar pendant une journee a la creche: decouvrez-le jouant dans le parc, assis a la table et prenant du bon temps dans une balancoire automatique!
The childminders ("juffrouw" in Dutch) at the creche kindly offered to take some pictures of Oscar during a day at the creche: look at him playing in the playpen, sitted at the table and having fun in an automatic rocking chair!

A quelques jours de ses 6 mois, Oscar travaille dur! - Just a few days before his 6 months, Oscar is working hard!

Il peut maintenant s'occuper avec un livre (bon d'accord pas encore pour le lire...), jouer a plat ventre dans son parc, et boire tout seul (enfin s'il veut bien!).

He can now play with a book (not really read it yet...), play in his playplen when being on his tummy and drink his bottle himself (well only when he wants!).

L'appetit et l'exercise physique, il n'y a que ca de vrai! - Eating and rolling around, that's what life is all about!

Nous avons essaye d'immortaliser les occupations favorites d'Oscar aujourd'hui mais pas facile d'etre la au bon moment avec l'appareil photo! Enfin, voici la 1ere compote d'abricots d'Oscar qu'il a devore en 5 minutes (il a meme mordu sa cueillere) et une seance de gymnastique dans son parc (il s'entraine dur a faire des tours complets mais s'ennerve vite s'il n'y arrive pas!).
We tried today to capture the favorite hobbys of Oscar those days but it is not easy to be there just at the right time with the camera! Still you can see his 1st apricot compote which was eaten in 5 minutes (he even bites his spoon) and a gym lesson in his playpen (he trains very hard to roll around but he gets frustrated when he doesn't succeed!).
