Le premier puy d'Oscar - The first walk in the Puys for Oscar

Nous avons profite de notre sejour auvergnat pour aller quelques jours sur Clermont-Fd et notamment pour faire une randonnee dans les puys. C'etait la premiere ascension pour Oscar alors nous avons choisi le Puy des Goules, 1,146 metres, et 2 heures de marche aller-retour (facile). Il y avait une superbe vue sur la chaine des Puys... et Oscar a marche tout le long!

We took the opportunity to be on holidays in the Auvergne to spend a few days close to Clermont-Fd and amongst other things, to do a walk in the mountains. It was Oscar's first walk in the Puys so we chose an easy one: the Puy des Goules, 1.146 meters high, 2 hours walk in total. There was a great view over the whole chaine des Puys... and Oscar walked all the way up and down!

Grandma et Grandad en visite - Grandma and Grandad visiting us

Pendant le mois d'Aout, Grandma et Grandad sont venus passer une semaine avec nous, c'etait une super semaine avec un tres beau temps. Louis, Auntie Helen et Uncle Murray sont aussi venus pour 2 jours.

In August, Grandma and Grandad came for 1 week, it was a great week with sunny and hot weather. Louis, Auntie Helen and Uncle Murray also came over for 2 days.



Nous sommes alles dejeuner au Prieure, la ou 8 ans auparavant, nous avons celebre notre mariage!

We went for lunch to the Prieure, where 8 years ago, we had our wedding celebration!

 
Et nous avons ete a La Chaise Dieu avec un train panoramique, c'etait sympa mais il faisait tres (trop) chaud!

Ah... les vacances a la Collange! - Holidays in la Collange!

En partant du Japon, nous avons du nous separer: Mark est alle en Angleterre pour commencer son nouveau travail et Oscar et moi sommes alles nous ressourcer a la Collange. Quel plaisir de retrouver la campagne et le bon air! Mark nous a rejoint pour 2 semaines de vacances ensemble... voila un florilege des activites d'Oscar pendant ses grandes vacances.

When we left Japan, we had to go different ways: Mark had to go to the UK to start his new job and Oscar and I went to la Collange to get some rest. What a joy to get back to the countryside and the fresh air! Mark came for 2 weeks holidays together... below is a selection of Oscar's activities during his long holidays.

Les 5 ans d'Irene - Irene's 5th birthday:

Messe en pleine air, la messe des bergers, a La Richarde (montagne au dessus d'Ambert): on voyait le Puy de Dome au loin!

Et puis les joies du jardin et des animaux (a la ferme ou au zoo):

Ce veau est ne dans le pre devant la Collange une nuit, et Oscar a ete le premier a s'apercevoir qu'il n'y avait plus 1 vache mais 2 ce matin-la!!!

This veal was born on the field in front of la Collange, Oscar was the first to see that there wasn't 1 cow anymore but 2 that morning!!!

Et 2 chatons sont nes a la Collange... ils ont eu beaucoup a manger certains jours!
And 2 kitten were born in la Collange... they had plenty to eat some of the days!
